We are on the search for a Technical Writer to join our team located in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role falls within the tech industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Technical Writer, your main tasks will be to create clear and concise technical documentation, collaborate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements, and ensure the quality and accuracy of technical information.
Responsibilities:
• Creating and updating technical documentation including user manuals, system specifications, and training materials.
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to gather and research technical information for use in documentation.
• Reviewing and revising documents for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and standards.
• Participating in product design and planning meetings to provide input on documentation requirements.
• Using diagrams, charts, and graphs to enhance readers' understanding of the material.
• Implementing feedback from users to improve documentation.
• Managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Ensuring consistency in tone and language across all product documentation.• Proficient in using technical writing tools and software.
• Ability to understand complex technical information and translate it into clear and concise documents.
• Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading technical documents including manuals, guides, and instructional materials.
• Must have a strong understanding of the target audience and the ability to adapt the content accordingly.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information.
• Excellent research skills to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure the consistency of technical language and terminologies used in all documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in technical writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
