Tesla is building the world's best in-car charging experience and we're looking for Software Engineers that are up for the task of making charging even better. We enable our drivers to go anywhere, anytime. Tesla charging serves millions of vehicles yet is built by a small, highly empowered team.
You will implement a transformational vehicle charging experience for the Tesla Supercharging network and other charging experiences. Our team owns the user interface for charging in Tesla vehicles, including navigation to charging, site availability & amenities, charge session pricing & metrology, managed charging on solar, and more.
Besides strong self-motivation, a bias for empathetic communication, and a team-oriented personality, our team members demonstrate creativity, passion, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the look and feel of the charging user experience
  • Specify, design, and implement UI in Tesla's Vehicle Infotainment platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the business, product, engineering, and design teams to define feature scope
  • Fight for simplicity in building an intuitive and fluid user experience
  • Implement continuous improvements and best practices within the team and larger organization
Requirements
  • Proficient in C++, Qt, or demonstrated ability to rapidly adopt new low-level frameworks
  • 3+ years' experience writing and shipping customer-facing code
  • Aptitude and experience in building state-of-the-art user interfaces and acclaimed consumer facing applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with and influence multiple teams at various levels of the organization
  • Willingness to learn new technologies in any area of the stack
  • Experience working with multithreaded applications
  • High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

    • Expected Compensation

      $120,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
