Role Purpose

The Production Engineer, Video is a key player in ensuring the seamless operation of video network infrastructure across all studio activities. This role requires a deep technical understanding of video systems and signal flow, enabling the engineer to optimize workflows tailored to specific events or productions.

What this job involves

  • Oversee and maintain all video network systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement customized workflows for various productions, adapting to unique technical requirements and challenges.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic skills to identify and resolve technical issues swiftly, minimizing downtime during productions.
  • Operate and engineer video production equipment as needed, including cameras, switchers, and recording devices, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Work closely with production teams, directors, and other engineers to ensure that all video components align with the creative vision and technical requirements of each project.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and workflows, and train junior staff on equipment and procedures.
  • Upkeep and review of manuals, handbooks, guidance notes, and other documentation.
  • Other tasks and duties as required.

  • 7+ years, with video production technologies and equipment.
  • Proficient in video signal flow, processing, and transmission.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of working within a high-profile studio production environment.
  • IT Skills, Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a busy workload.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

112,600.00 – 163,300.00 USD per year
