Responsibilities

  • Leverage business knowledge and multiple data points to drive solutions and alternatives
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs
  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand business requirements
  • Create reports and present findings to stakeholders
  • Create wireframes/mock ups

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to assess visual, interactive, and experiential design quality and be able to clearly articulate those reasons to technical and non-technical team members
  • Ability to produce sufficient artifacts and reference materials to support design initiatives (e.g., point-of-view decks, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, etc.)
  • Possesses basic knowledge of UX design methodologies and principles (e.g., information Architecture and management, interaction design, usability, UX research, and heuristics)
  • Experience with modern design tools (E.g. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
  • Some experience with technical writing
  • One to two years of professional Visual, Interactive, Experiential Design Experience with evidence of demonstrating these competencies
  • Demonstrates basic application of various UX best practices to support design initiatives
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan

Preferred:

  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Interaction Design or equivalent
  • Knowledge of creating / maintaining design systems / style guides / pattern libraries
  • Experience with User Testing/Research
  • Experience with managing/analyzing user data
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
