Position Summary: As a Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the marketing team by crafting compelling content that drives brand awareness and engagement. Your responsibilities will include the development, implementation, and optimization of content (written, video, photos, illustrations), as assigned by the Integrated Marketing Director, that will be used across both digital and traditional channels. You are the company’s social media content specialist, actively creating scheduled content, and creating/posting on-demand content. You are also engaging on all social platforms and responding to comments. By working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will ensure all content aligns with marketing objectives and resonates with target audiences.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:

  • Content Creation: Develop a variety of engaging content such as articles, social media posts, videos, infographics, and newsletters, targeting different stages of the customer journey.
  • Content Strategy and Planning: Support creation and execution of content strategies aligned with marketing goals, maintaining a consistent, targeted message across platforms. Meet business deadlines.
  • Audience Engagement: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to understand trends and audience preferences, tailoring content to enhance engagement and meet desired outcomes.
  • SEO and Analytics: Optimize content for search engines using SEO best practices. Work with Digital teams to analyze content performance through analytics tools to improve future strategies.
  • Brand Voice and Consistency: Ensure content reflects the brand's tone and style, maintaining consistency across all communication channels.
  • Content Deadlines: Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to ensure adherence to the content calendar, managing multiple projects to meet established timelines.
  • Collaboration and Support: Partner with cross-functional team members to support campaigns, offering content that complement broader marketing strategies.
  • Social Media Strategy: Implement innovative social media content strategies and tailored content to enhance brand presence and engage audiences on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Be open to testing new platforms.
  • Influencer Collaborations: Work with influencers on content collaborations, building strategic partnerships across social channels.
  • Community Management: Engage with the online community, responding to interactions and building strong relationships with the audience while incorporating social media trends into content.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Tackle additional projects as required to ensure comprehensive support and alignment with company values.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

Experience: 3-5 years in content creation, marketing, or related fields, with digital content development experience preferred. Social media guru, with a passion to engage followers.

Creative Thinking: Ability to create innovative content ideas that align with brand strategy and objectives.

Communication Skills: Expert writing and editing skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and engagingly. Ability to prompt generative AI, machine learning interfaces to quickly repurpose content.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity or willingness to learn Digital Asset Management, Canva, InDesign, Photoshop and other creative marketing tools. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excell.

Creative Thinking: A creative and strategic mindset to develop unique marketing strategies and content that not only capture attention but also resonate with target audiences, driving engagement and conversion.

Time Management: Strong project management capabilities to oversee, coordinate, and execute multiple concurrent tasks, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes. Comfortable tracking, reporting and being accountable to meeting deadlines.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to details, superior writing and editing skills, excellent follow-through.

Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration. Enthusiastic about finding a solution!

Adaptability and Agility: Flexibility and readiness to adjust strategies in response to rapidly evolving social media, digital trends, and marketing technologies, embracing change to meet organizational objectives effectively. Willing to jump and find a way to say “yes” to new business asks.

Education: While a bachelor's degree is not mandatory, completion of vocational training or certification in a related field such as digital marketing, communications, or content creation is preferred.

Portfolio Submission: Candidates are encouraged to submit a portfolio of case studies or examples creative work or social media posts demonstrating their expertise and innovative approach to marketing challenges.
