21Tech, LLC. is seeking a Technical Writer to support our Client in Glendale, AZ.
This is a hybrid ongoing long-term contract. You must be in the Glendale, AZ, area and be able to work onsite with no H1B Visa status. Hourly rate $30.00. NO C2C.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs tasks in developing, writing, and editing user manuals for equipment, software, system documentation, technical proposals, training manuals, or other technical materials.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs tasks in developing, writing, and editing user manuals for equipment, software, system documentation, technical proposals, training manuals, or other technical materials.
Essential Functions:
- Consults with subject matter experts to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
- Interview personnel and read vendor-provided documentation and other materials to become familiar with product technologies.
- Observe production and developmental activities and other materials to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
- Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Studies drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence.
- Edits standardizes or makes changes to existing documentation.
- Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate written materials.
- Arranges for distribution of material.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Special Requirements/Success Factors:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field and one year experience in writing or editing materials of a technical nature.
Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices researching, interviewing, writing, and editing technical materials.
- Computers and applicable software applications.
- Operating systems.
Ability to:
- Comprehend and make inferences from various materials furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with a good command of the English language.
- Create, compose and edit written materials in a clear, concise and non-technical manner using proper sentence construction and grammar.
- Present all information accurately in a readable, professional and timely manner.
- Interpret blueprints, technical reports and specifications.
- Proofread materials.
- Organize materials into formats suitable for printing.
- Work independently, exercise sound independent judgment, and meet established project schedules.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse range of stakeholders.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Arizona driver's license.
- Ability to work overtime, shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- ACJIS TOC-D certification required within 30 days of employment.
