The Role:

Located at Midway International Airport in Chicago, the Marketing Associate will report to the Midway Partnership General Manager and work closely with Vantage Group's Corporate, Director of Commercial Marketing. This role is responsible for planning and implementing strategies to increase visibility, optimize marketing operations, and improve revenue through collaborative efforts with the Chicago Department of Aviation marketing team as well as other partners. The position requires collaboration with all stakeholders as well as contributing to and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance passenger engagement, manage operational efficiency, and drive measurable terminal concession revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of marketing programs and initiatives to maximize concession revenue, enhance brand awareness, and contribute to strategic objectives across airport concessions.
• Partners with Vantage's Director of Commercial Marketing, Midway Partnership's Commercial Manager, Commercial Analyst, and other key stakeholders including the Chicago Department of Aviation, to develop, plan, and implement marketing initiatives, including events, promotions, content development, concession partner support, social media, etc.
• Create and maintain robust partnerships with concession operators, internal teams, and vendors to align marketing strategies and ensure consistent branding.
• Hands-on event management for several annual onsite (in-airport) customer and passenger events.
• Seek opportunities for local and industry recognition of the success of the commercial program and draft industry award submissions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive customer engagement and concessions revenue by working with Vantage's varied partners to oversee cross-channel marketing initiatives and customer-focused promotions.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring Midway Partnership's brand identity is consistently implemented across signage, reports, presentations, marketing materials, and promotional environments.
• Track and evaluate marketing performance with the Commercial Analyst by establishing and reporting, key performance indicators (KPI), return on investment (ROI) analysis, and sales targets. Communicate findings to the General Manager, Vantage's Director of Commercial Marketing, and other necessary stakeholders.
• Innovate and experiment with new marketing tools, campaigns, and partnerships to enhance passenger experience and promote sales growth.
• Uphold and advocate for high standards in brand implementation across all touchpoints, including but not limited to in the airport, concessions space, and marketing materials.
• Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or another related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• At least 2 years experience in marketing, operations, sales development or professionally related field. Preferably in airport concessions, retail or travel adjacent industry.
• Experience working within a regulated business environment is not a mandatory requirement but an asset for this position.
• Proven track record in driving successful marketing campaigns with measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills in performance tracking and ROI analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration and development of professional relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to government agencies and concession operators.
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools and project management software.
• Project management and implementation, program management, change management.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members for exceptional performance and contribution.

• Some experience creating/working with automated dashboards, standardized reports, and enterprise systems would be preferred.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision but also be a team player.
