ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, edit, and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to the company style guidelines.
- Edit content to ensure alignment with government solicitation guidelines, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Refine and enhance the tone, structure, and style of content to align with target audience expectations.
- Ensure all content is clear, concise, and free of errors.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to clarify technical content and align with government requirements.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to provide constructive feedback and improve overall content quality.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an editor and writer, with a strong portfolio showcasing editing and writing skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional command of grammar, syntax, and style.
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and editing tools (e.g., Grammarly, AP Stylebook).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ingenuity with the ability to effectively achieve organizational established goals and objectives.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus in an office environment.
- Ability to climb stairs, as the building does not have elevator access.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
- Daily travel in local area during workday (including use of personal vehicle).
- Requires 0% - 5% travel.
