As a Design Delivery Lead in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.

As a UX Designer, you will contribute to a creative, design thinking culture ready to deliver AbbVie’s next-generation digital solutions. This position requires a strong craftsperson and creative problem solver with a proven record of conducting user-centered design activities to create digital experiences for our complex enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute UX design activities for projects within AbbVie’s enterprise IT division.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand and align on the intent, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project.
  • Translate user needs and primary goals into process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes (web) that support different tasks and interactions.
  • Present design solutions to internal stakeholders in ways that deepen their understanding of how the design solves the problem for the user at hand.
  • Maintain and evolve AbbVie's enterprise design system.
  • Provide design guidance to technical teams through on-going application reviews.
  • Contribute to UX design best practices within the Design Center of Excellence.
  • Evangelize user experience and user-centered design throughout the company.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, equivalent certification, or a related field of study. 
  • 2+ years’ experience as a UX designer for web, mobile and software applications.
  • Strong business acumen; Experience working on enterprise software solutions and / or complex business solutions a plus.
  • Outstanding communicator – both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong consultation and collaboration skills.
  • A clear understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture and interaction design.
  • Proficient with leading design tools such as Figma (required), Sketch, Adobe CC and InVision (beneficial).
  • Proficient at creating process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups for web and BI solutions.
  • Experience contributing to a design system to support the design and dev activities of project teams.
  • A portfolio demonstrating how a user-centered design approach had a measured impact on the overall user experience and demonstrated value to the business.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.   • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
