Let's work together to make people smile in this vital role to shape the US launch of Rocatinlimab, an anti-OX40 human monoclonal antibody being investigated in partnership with Amgen for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, asthma, prurigo nodularis, and other inflammatory diseases.
The Executive Director, Inflammation Marketing will lead a cross-functional team of leaders to rapidly advance a promising breakthrough therapy through US commercial launch. They are responsible for the creation and implementation of product strategy and promotional plans designed to achieve US sales objectives. They will be responsible for leading strategic direction for the rocatinlimab launch within atopic dermatitis and future US indications. Internally and in collaboration with our Amgen alliance partner, they will lead cross functional matrix teams, manage external agencies and ensure the alignment of stakeholders to meet goals. This is a highly visible role requiring executive presence, collaboration in an alliance setting, communication, and strategic problem-solving capabilities. It also requires extensive experience in the inflammation space, as well as strong scientific acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the collaborative planning, alignment, approval, execution, measurement, and ongoing refinement of marketing strategies designed to drive US performance. Develops and leads the US commercial strategy for rocatinlimab based on deep customer insights, including market development, and LCM activities with cross-functional partners and successful timely implementation of a full complement of strategically driven programs on time and on budget. Recruit, motivate, develop, and retain a team of highly skilled marketing professionals. Identifies, evaluates and implements commercial teams to best meet the needs of our customers and communities (i.e., Thought Leader Liaison team, etc.). Ensures an effective and collaborative relationship with alliance partner, global counterparts, and with external agencies and partners. Ensures key promotional programs are managed effectively achieving KPIs on time and on budget. Liaises with Sales Management and contributes significantly to selling strategy development, targeting methodology, IC plan development, identification and implementation of additional field engagement teams, training, and targeting. Ensure strategic alignment with Medical Affairs consistent with legal and compliance standards. Manages in collaboration with Public Affairs productive external relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Congress leadership and patient advocacy groups. Collaborates with Market Access team to ensure effective strategies are identified, and tactics are in place to ensure optimal access to patients who can benefit from our therapies. Collaborates with Analytics and Commercial Operations to ensure appropriate CRM build, leads generation and dissemination, understanding, and flow of sales performance and patient services data.
Job Requirements
Education: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates with an MBA are preferred.
Experience: This position requires a minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing leadership (preferably with recent experience directly in inflammatory disease). Recent large scale launch experience is required. Successful experience within a highly collaborative alliance environment. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading large DTC campaigns. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading direct report marketing team. Advanced leadership, team management, financial acumen and presentation skills are required.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Non-Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change the course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. A strong work ethic is required. Detail-oriented and excellent follow-through. Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization with a collaborative alliance partner.
Travel: Requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.
