Overview of Position:
The Packaging Associate will be responsible for creating artwork and design files that are needed for in store packaging and online presentation of home products being sold in stores and online. This position will work across various categories and brands sold through a major retailer.
We are anticipating a second entry level open role, so if you are a new grad, please feel free to apply! Salary will adjust accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and executes packaging production files based on brand style guides to ensure accurate, on-time deliverables by retrieving and referencing previous or related source file.
- Working with vendors to refine supplied artwork and information; organizing and maintaining accurate, systematic files and file archiving.
- Managing timelines and adjusting priorities of deliverables.
- Implementing revisions and preparing files for release; evaluating proofs and providing feedback to printers; and producing and preparing timely and accurate files.
- Implement design and art production solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices.
- Monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands.
- Collaborates with senior management to conceptualize designs based on brand style guides by contributing to the development of new concepts, systems, and solutions.
- Creating and maintaining packaging templates; and implementing pre-press standards.
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
- 2-4 years experience in professional design capacity, including print and consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related field.
- 3 years experience in brand building and identity design.
- 5 years experience in print and packaging.
- 3 years retail experience.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 Depending on Experience
