Kaiva Tech, LLC is seeking an Instructional Designer (Training)Workplace Type: Hybrid (1 day onsite, 4 days telework), subject to change based on mission requirementsPosition Overview:The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing, designing, and delivering high-quality instructional materials and courses that facilitate effective learning experiences for employees. Serves as the authoritative consultant on learning objectives, design methodologies, adult education, and curriculum and course design. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's training programs and ensuring that they align with the organization's strategic goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and content requirements. Design and develop engaging, learner-centered instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and multimedia presentations. Ensure content is clear, concise, and relevant to the target audience. E-Learning Development: Utilize e-learning authoring tools and multimedia software to create interactive and engaging online courses. Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and simulations to enhance learning experiences. Learning Assessment: Create assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Analyze assessment results to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to content and delivery methods. Learning Technology: Stay current with educational technology trends and tools to enhance the delivery of training materials. Evaluate and recommend learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technology solutions. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training materials with organizational goals. Work closely with project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets. Continuous Improvement: Continuously update and improve existing training materials to reflect changes in policy, technology, or best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional design skills.Required Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.Expert professional knowledge of adult learning and training theories, principles, and concepts.Expert knowledge and proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and e-learning development.Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.Expert knowledge of and ability to apply theories, principles, and concepts of curriculum design and development including the ADDIE process to design, develop, and implement new systematic curricular practice, methods, and policies to meet broad training and education organizational goals and objectives.Comprehensive knowledge of program management, assessment, and evaluation methodologies to determine overall effectiveness and efficiency.Ability to collaborate and coordinate with information resource professionals to design and implement supporting assets for training programs and activities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Attention to detail and project management abilities.Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position.
