Description We are seeking a creative and forward-thinking UX Designer to become a key member of our Search and Conversational Shopping Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the innovation team behind Amazon's generative AI-powered shopping assistant, Rufus. Rufus makes it easy for customers to find and discover products by helping with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, answering specific product questions, and more. As a UX Designer on this cutting-edge project, you will help shape the future of this high-impact product, which benefits from extensive customer research and behavioral data, and a rapid launch cadence. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional group of designers, researchers, writers, engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience. This role requires both big-picture vision and meticulous attention to detail as you bring our bold product roadmap to life for hundreds of millions of customers world-wide. Key job responsibilities -Partner closely with product and research to define a shared vision, grounded in deep customer data analysis -Work with key partners, research, product, and engineers to understand the customer needs and deliver strategic customer experiences across global platforms and modalities -Bring strong, user-centered design skills and business knowledge to translate conceptual ideas into exceptional design solutions at scale -Rapidly produce flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interactions -Advocate for design excellence across the Search and Conversational Shopping teams, raising the bar for quality -Develop and maintain detailed UI specifications while meeting accessibility standards -Present and defend design recommendations to stakeholders and leadership for review, feedback, and approval -Work with technology teams to build efficiently, without compromising core experience principles -Continually learn and grow your skills in design craft, generative AI, and emerging technologies About the team The vision of the Search and Conversational Shopping Team is to revolutionize the shopping experience through innovations in advanced AI and machine learning. Our goal is to create intuitive, personalized experiences that seamlessly connect customers with information and recommendations helping them easily find inspiration and shop for the products they need. We work collaboratively with a global, multi-disciplinary team of product managers, engineers, and scientists to bring the product vision to life. Our goal is to delight customers when a best-in-class search and conversational shopping experience where we accurately understand their intent and return an experience that feels targeted and customized to them and their shopping mission. Basic Qualifications 6+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices Proficiency working with Figma, or similar tools Preferred Qualifications Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature Experience creating rapid UI prototypes for user testing Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
