Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the Creative Services Manager in handling graphic design projects, performing print jobs, completing post-production of projects, maintaining cleanliness and order in Creative Services, and assisting all clients, students, employees, and outside customers alike. Responsible for using graphic design skills to visually communicate on-campus needs, events, and other topics while adhering to and maintaining College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) brand identity on many mediums and platforms. Photography of on and off campus events. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Typical Job Functions

Uses graphic design skills to visually communicate on-campus needs, events, and other topics while adhering to and maintaining College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) brand identity on many mediums and platforms. Prints simple and multi-step jobs on the large copier. Assists in various post-production needs, including cutting paper to size, spiral binding, laminating, shrink-wrapping, mounting to various substrates. Assists clients with printing and other needs. Attends project meetings to assess needs and find solutions. Organizes work orders and meets deadlines. Checks for copyright and licensing violations. Mocks up projects and gathers feedback for revisions. Creates price quotes for potential projects. Basic photography of CEI events and in studio photos as needed. Can be assigned as team lead on specific projects. Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor H-1B Visas) Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience 2-3 Years of professional experience. Strong understanding and use of art and design principles Strong understanding and application of typography and hierarchy Self-initiative to keep up to date on design trends, technology, and professional techniques Strong task prioritization and time management Strong research and problem-solving abilities Good verbal, visual, and written communication Good grammar, spelling, and basic math skills Proficient using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop for graphic design purposes Can move quickly from project creative brief to strong ideas and completion. Incumbent must reside in the State of Idaho (CEI doesn't currently sponsor H-1B visas) Additional Desired Qualifications

Proficient in production and postproduction. Bilingual (Spanish)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.

Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required.

Background Investigations: Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
