Description:
•Work with global customer designing and implementing large complex networks
•Must hold an active Secret clearance
•At least ten (10) years of progressive experience and team leadership in the design and implementation of large, complex global networks
•Well versed in cloud architectures, software defined networking, data center switching technologies, and securing virtual environments (AWS, Azure, Google desired)
•Strong WAN experience
•Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCIE or CCDE) certification desired
•Excellent communications and leadership skills
•Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have customer facing conversations
•Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
•Manage technology vendors.
•Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
•Assess vendor development/test strategies for various network domain phase 0 projects.
•Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
•Good knowledge on firewall design and implementation.
•Background in deploying both bare metal systems and virtual cloud services
•Proven experience evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating them into existing or new systems
•Ability and willingness to travel OCONUS
•Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, Checkpoint firewalls, Inflobox DNS, F5 LTM, Inflobox GTM, SSH, VPNs)
•Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision
•Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.
•Knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols.
•Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
•Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
