This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH Area
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH


The Content Programming Analyst provides key support for on-platform programming and for driving Kanopy's content sales within our academic market. In this role you will use your knowledge of film, documentary, and video resources; customers' content needs; library acquisition and collection development workflows; as well as your technical expertise to support development and performance of academic content collections. This role works across OverDrive teams by providing information, resources, and data to help facilitate customers' streaming film acquisition needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes usage and expenditure data on an ongoing basis to inform collection adjustments and improvements to meet customer needs
  • Collaborates with the Content Partnership team to develop collection content aligned with customer needs
  • Assists with the creation of new themed collection packages based on usage data and customer needs
  • Curates existing themed collection packages based on customer feedback and usage data
    Helps to assess and prioritize new content based on the needs and cadence of the academic market
  • Assists with the improvement of content presentation on platform to best meet the needs of our academic customers, faculty and students
  • Assists with the categorization and discoverability of content on platform and across third party applications
  • Provides ongoing internal support for customer renewals and maintenance
  • Develops knowledge of administrative website functionality and usability
  • Develops familiarity with academic content purchasing options and pricing
  • Communicates customer content needs, feedback, and enhancement ideas internally
  • Participates and takes notes during meetings
  • Reviews and identifies gaps in documentation
  • Assists with development of presentations
  • Completes assigned tasks on time with a high degree of quality
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience required. A master's degree in library science or related field is preferred
  • 1- 3 years of related academic library experience
  • Strong knowledge of the academic library industry
  • Experience working with academic library vendors
  • Basic knowledge of film and documentaries
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and objectives, meet timelines, and provide updates
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, proofreading and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate excel experience
