The IT Clinical Content Program Manager is an integral part of Billings Clinics IT enablement strategy. This position works in collaboration with IT and the Health Systems leadership teams and business stakeholders across the organization. This position will support the availability and review of the most current evidence-based practice content and structure within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Primary responsibilities include, serving as the principal owner of the Health Systems Orders, Order Sets (PowerPlans) and Interdisciplinary Plans of Care (IPOCs) life cycle, building social collaboration tools and methodologies, overseeing evidenced-based content integrations within the EHR, managing the life cycle for patient education platforms and custom content across the health system This role requires a high degree of independent problem solving, stakeholder management, excellent organizing and tracking skills, coordination and communication skills and use of LEAN methodologies.


Essential Job Functions


Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinics mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.


Oversee the creation, review, approval, and maintenance of PowerPlans and Preprinted Order Sets.


Assess requests for new or modified Plans to ensure alignment with Billings Clinic and Oracle Health design standards.


Evaluate content for consistency with nationally recognized evidence-based practices, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the inclusion of appropriate references before approval.


Prepare content for and facilitate the Orderset Management governance group.


Recommend changes to content and process standards to reduce redundancies and inefficiencies.


Analyze, develop, and document the lifecycle workflow of Ordersets/PowerPlans, Interdisciplinary Plans of Care (IPOCs), and patient education content, optimizing the process for improved efficiency.


Develop and implement effective communication strategies across the Health System to ensure timely content approval and development.


Collaborate with leadership and providers to identify and address new clinical content needs related to Ordersets/PowerPlans, IPOCs, and patient education.


Assess and recommend applications and tracking tools for managing and governing Ordersets/PowerPlans, IPOCs, and clinical education content.


Monitor and report on the usage of licensed content integrations, making necessary adjustments to optimize their effectiveness.


Serve as the IT subject matter expert, providing best practices for application functionality, including producing reports and uploading content.


Partner with the health system management team to ensure Orderset/PowerPlan and IPOC life cycles meet regulatory and policy requirements.


Lead communication strategies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.


Establish effective working relationships within Billings Clinic and regional partners, ensuring efficient staff development through consistent training and communication techniques.


Collaborate with organizational leaders to assess, trend, and analyze the use of Ordersets/PowerPlans, IPOCs, and education content.


Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to mentor and train less experienced staff.


Proactively identify and implement improvements in the Orderset/PowerPlan lifecycle using Oracle Health and industry best practices, including testing methods, needs analysis, and redesign.


Provide feedback, oversee the deployment of developed content, stay updated on industry changes, and offer consulting and training on new tools, methods, and techniques.


Perform other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.


Minimum Qualifications


Education


Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Degree must be within healthcare field


Preferred Graduate Degree


Experience


2 years of experience in Healthcare Field required


Highly skilled in the use of technology with the ability to quickly learn new applications, software and IT tools


Certifications and Licenses


Oracle Health PowerPlans and PowerOrders Certification Within 2 years of hire Required


Current Healthcare License


Current Montana drivers license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles.


Equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Employees who require a license or certification must be properly licensed/certified, and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
