The Role:
Join our marketing team as a Video Marketing & Content Creator and bring your passion for video, creativity, and strategic mindset to help amplify our brand, engage audiences, and support demand generation.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Video Strategy & Ideation
- Content Planning: Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan a video content calendar, aligning with overall marketing objectives and industry trends.
- Concept Development: Brainstorm and develop innovative video ideas that resonate with target audiences across the buyer's journey, from brand awareness to demo requests.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all videos adhere to Convoso's brand voice, visual style, and strategic objectives, while also experimenting with new visual trends to captivate audiences.
- Video Production & Editing
- Storyboarding and Filming: Outline storyboards, set up and film in-house videos, and produce spontaneous and planned smartphone videos to drive social media engagement.
- Editing and Post-Production: Perform editing, color correction, sound mixing, and graphics packaging for video content across social platforms, webinars, YouTube, and website.
- Tools and Platforms: Use and maintain DIY production tools (e.g., PlayPlay, CapCut, Canva) and manage video hosting on Wistia and YouTube. Organize assets and optimize video SEO to enhance discoverability.
- Repurposing Content: Refresh and segment existing video content, adapting it for different platforms and formats to maintain relevance and increase reach.
- Collaboration and Project Management
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various stakeholders on demand generation, product, and events teams to craft strategic video content and ads supporting diverse initiatives (e.g., product explainers, customer testimonials, FAQ series, employee stories).
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external video editors and production partners, providing direction and quality assurance to ensure alignment with Convoso's brand.
- Timeline Management: Maintain project-specific deadlines, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage approval processes for draft and final versions.
- Video Distribution and Analytics
- Platform Optimization: Regularly update and optimize Convoso's YouTube channel; maintain and optimize Wistia video platform and website video assets to increase performance and support lead generation.
- Engagement Monitoring: Track and report on video performance, leveraging analytics tools (YouTube, Wistia, Google Analytics) to understand metrics like watch time, engagement, and conversions.
- Testing and Iteration: Run A/B tests on video elements (thumbnails, CTAs) and continually refine based on data insights to boost viewer retention and conversions.
- Content Creation for Social Media
- Social-Focused Content: Produce short-form video content, such as YouTube Shorts, IG Reels, and Google Stories, designed to build engagement and authority.
- Interactive Engagement: Collaborate with social media specialists to integrate interactive elements like polls and Q&As into social video content to increase engagement and encourage feedback on trending topics in outbound sales and lead generation.
Who You Are:
- Experience: 2-3 years in video marketing or content creation, with a focus on social media, short-form video production, and video editing.
- Technical Skills: Ideally, experience with post production and editing software; experience with video production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio); familiarity with graphic design tools.
- Marketing: Demonstrate an understanding of basic marketing concepts, including funnel, intent, buyer personas, SEO (including the knowledge of optimizing for SEO).
- Channel Optimization: Experience with YouTube as marketing tool and knowledge of best practices for optimizing video content for improved experience and performance.
- DIY Tool: Facility with quick editing apps for social media, such as CapCut, PlayPlay, or Canva, with the ability to adapt videos for multiple aspect ratios across platforms.
- Creative Skills: Strong storytelling abilities, creative ideation, and a portfolio demonstrating a range of video types from short-form to longer narrative content.

Compensation:
The base salary range is: $80,000 - $90,000.
The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso's compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
