Lecturer in Interior Design, Full-Time, Non-tenure track, Start Date: August 18, 2025
Responsibilities
The Department of Art & Design at Purdue University is seeking a Lecturer with expertise in Interior Design to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the Interior Design program (up to eight classes per academic year). Additional responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate students, reviewing portfolios and resumes, and actively participating in department and program events.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master's degree (fully complete by August 2025) and experience in Interior Design. A strong design portfolio is required, showcasing experience in the industry. Candidates should also have the ability to effectively advise and engage students, fostering connections with professionals in interior design and related fields.
Program/Department/School
The Interior Design program is part of the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, within the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University. The Rueff School encompasses several departments, including Art and Design, Theatre and Dance, Film and Video, and Music. The Interior Design program is committed to offering rigorous undergraduate education and preparing students for successful careers.
