Position Summary:

As a Design Center Administrator at Brock Built Homes, LLC, you will serve as the primary liaison between the Brock Built Homes purchasing team, our outsourced sales team, and our outsourced design company. This role ensures seamless coordination and communication for the development and management of curated design packages. This position will also play a vital role in the coordination and management of any custom option requests that are submitted outside of a curated design package. The successful candidate will ensure that the high-quality standards of Brock Built Homes are met, while fostering positive relationships with our customers and design partners.



Job Functions:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Brock Built Homes and the outsourced design company, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
  • Oversee and manage the design process, including coordinating with the outsourced design firm on the development of design packages, updating products within those packages on an as-needed basis, and loading packaged selections into the SX lot records for both inventory and under contract homes as directed.
  • Oversee and manage all custom option requests, including submission of requests as needed, following up with purchasing and/or sales, and ensuring timely customer sign off or rejection of each custom option request.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Purchasing to align design selections with budgetary and project timelines.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the design process.
  • Maintain accurate records of design selections, approvals, and communications.
  • Provide regular updates to the VP of Purchasing and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with customer, vendor and contractor interactions as needed to support the design process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of design principles and a strong sense of aesthetically appealing designs.
  • Knowledgeable about interior design elements and materials: cabinets, tops, flooring, tile, appliances, lights, plumbing fixtures, lights, plumbing fixtures, siding, etc.
  • Understand allowances and work within a budget
  • Understand basic construction techniques
  • Adaptable/Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be creative, energetic, and results driven thinker.
  • Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people and functions.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Thorough, professional, and good at documentation
  • Must have very close attention to details and the drive to get the right things done.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency, able to meet deadlines, and demonstrated ability to complete projects
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design/Architecture preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant design and/or construction project management.
  • Familiarity with the home building process and industry trends.
  • Experience working with outsourced design firms or vendors.
  • Knowledge of Georgia's residential building codes and standards.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen.
