A leading commercial real estate development firm in Atlanta, GA (30339) is seeking a Civil Designer to support Engineering, Real Estate, Legal, and Construction teams. This contract role plays a key part in drafting, editing, and preparing design documents for store development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and edit site plans, grading plans, boundary exhibits, and civil site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D (2020 or newer).
- Interpret and analyze ALTA/ACSM surveys, topographic surveys, legal descriptions, and construction plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to standardize design processes and improve efficiency.
- Act as an AutoCAD Support Administrator, updating design templates, layer standards, and plot styles.
- Effectively communicate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet critical project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Surveying (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- 2+ years of experience using Civil 3D (2020 or newer) for civil engineering or surveying projects.
- Field experience with construction sites or pre-construction processes is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel required) and document management software preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Location: Atlanta, GA (on-site).
- Pay Rate: $33.65/hr.
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (occasional overtime).
- Duration: Temp assignment through 9/26, with potential extension.
- Work from Home: No.
- Background Check (7 years) & 10-Panel Drug Screen Required.
