What we are looking for:
As a key member of the Talent Management Training team, the Instructional Designer will support the training and educational needs of the organization by designing, developing and implementing appropriate learning solutions to fill performance gaps and support new initiatives for project management, safety, and leadership development.
What you'll do:
Duties including the following:
- Manage the end-to-end learning experience: Assess needs, devise instructional strategies, incorporate course-related learning activities, develop engaging and interactive learning experiences and create assessments to measure the success and transfer of learning.
- Design, develop, execute and measure the success of instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning solutions for our internal clients
- Manage multiple instructional design projects from concept through execution, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal clients, field users, subject matter experts and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to identify training needs and create learning objectives in alignment with the business strategy.
- Design and develop high-quality, engaging programs, content and materials with text, graphics, voice, sound, and video features.
- Develop training programs, content, and materials on various topics including: Project Management processes and best practices, Crew leader skills, Technical topics, Safety topics, Agile tools, Technology systems, and Leadership skills
- Convert static presentation content into dynamic learning courses for live, virtual and/or eLearning delivery.
- Facilitate virtual webinars and/or host live training sessions.
- Design, conduct and evaluate post-instruction outcomes.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Training team and solutions by providing subject matter expertise and guidance in the creation of new ideas in training workflows, e-learning module development, Instructor Led training and implementing ways to continuously improve the learning process.
Who you are:
We are pursuing experienced professionals with the following qualifications:
- 3 years' experience developing learning for instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, self-paced and video formats for adult learners in a business setting
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Education or another related field. Master's Degree in Instructional Design or similar preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, with the desire and ability to learn new programs and software
- Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of instructional design models and methods, and adult learning principles
- Intermediate experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Lectora, iSpring, or similar), storyboarding, and video editing
- Experience working with learning management systems
- Graphic design aptitude
- Ability to write clearly, engagingly and succinctly
- Detail-oriented team player with excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- A positive attitude and professional work ethic
