about the position...

As the Low Voltage Systems Designer, you will manage reviewing and interpreting project documents to provide complete code-compliant designs inclusive of device layouts, system circuitry, calculations and detailed drawings for the Low Voltage Systems division. This position is located at our state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in sunny St. Petersburg, FL - the base of our entire operation - and is set up for tremendous growth.

position details/responsibilities...

  • Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN & Wi-Fi Networks, etc. for commercial and multifamily applications.
  • Act as a resource, providing technical assistance for projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.
  • Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants and project personnel.
  • Design code-compliant, contract-compliant and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans and legal contracts.
here's what we're looking for...
  • 5-8 years' experience with Low Voltage Systems design.
  • Exposure to large-scale, multi-family residential construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; Revit (BIM) and Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
