Job Summary
As a UX Designer you will be responsible for the UI/UX design of all client-server applications, web, and mobile experiences. You will support the UX design strategy for the organization and partner closely with internal stakeholders to drive the successful creation of compelling, cohesive, and consistent end-to-end experiences across HS1's vast product portfolio.
This is a highly interactive role requiring the skills of a team player that can dig into the details of business requirements with sometimes complex technical constraints. You'll bring knowledge of design best practices, identify research needs in the product roadmap, actively manage and facilitate communications with stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design of user interfaces for both our legacy and future state applications
- Integrate business constraints into design decisions, maintaining relevance and quality
- Facilitate design discussions with clear and high-quality outputs
- Facilitate design thinking initiatives, retrospectives, and critiques by presenting work to key contributors
- Scope voice-of-customer research with our clients, analyze insights, shepherd research studies, and provide usability assessments to improve our products
- From concept to commercialization, you will need to work closely with Product and Development to ensure designs are translated into clean and elegant products that follow best practices for the appropriate platform.
Qualifications
Must Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human Factors, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in the complete UX process: identifying customer problem statements, problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, customer journey mapping, applying design systems, and producing deliverables for development
- Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience using style guides, interaction pattern libraries, and components to produce low and high-fidelity designs
- Thorough knowledge in web and native solution design with an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with resources such as product design systems, repositories and internal communication tools
- Experience with designing complex interfaces/workflows for B2B software solutions, medical or dental industry preferred
- A portfolio that reflects an overall understanding of user center design methodology by highlighting projects which have been guided from inception to delivery
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and task management to manage multiple requests while collaborating with geographically distributed teams
- Willingness to help teammates and lead by example
- Self-starter who is customer obsessed and a problem solver
- Experience working closely with product managers and product teams
The posted range for this position is $69,500 - $120,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 7.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
