We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our growing teams in Denver,CO, Washington, DC, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Tampa, FL, and Miami, FL. Your role will be under supervision of senior architect and will involve applying technical professional proficiency to the solution of architectural interior design problems to create dynamic interior spaces for large and medium size projects. Your primary goal will be to create design that aligns with the client's brief and prepare design documents, research finishing materials and the coordination of related project activities. The position also supports Business Development and presentation efforts in pursuit of new projects.

How will you contribute to the team?
  • Ability to develop scope of project, in collaboration with senior Project Interior Architect for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating project assignments.
  • Ability to seek guidance from senior staff to develop design concepts make timely design and technical decisions in a collaborative manner while seeking advice of peers and superiors.
  • Ability to present oneself professionally to clients as well as maintain a 'seller-doer' approach. Ability to interface with clients.
  • Ability to perform programming, space planning and other conceptual design activities.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of furniture systems and procurement, knowledgebase of emerging interiors products.
  • Ability to select materials, finishes, fittings, fixtures and interior lighting.
  • Ability to prepare design development and concept sketches for issues.
  • Develop designs and sketches into construction documents as well as direct a project team to do the same.
  • Ability to create basic and informative 3D building information in Revit or other CAD/BIM formats.
  • Ability to prepare a complete set of construction documents in BIM.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior designers to produce a complete set of construction documents.
  • Ability to redline documents for production using BlueBeam or other similar software. Ability to coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines and mentor junior staff to do the same.
  • Ability to create presentation material, Exhibits in BlueBeam or PowerPoint for client and team review.
  • Ability to direct and/or perform site and field work including site observations & investigations, existing facility inventory and generate field measured documentation.
  • Provide Sr. Architects / Project Managers with status reports on progress on architectural interior documents.
  • Ability to complete assignments efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner and self-perform quality control on work prior to publication.
  • Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
  • Ability to maintain and coordinate project BIM model and possess a strong knowledge in construction document standards and conventions.
  • Ability to consult manufacturers, evaluate, obtain accurate cost information and select materials and finishes, and inspect architectural features in the field.
  • Understanding of building materials and construction methods.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze information and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to create basic and informative 3D building information in BIM or another format.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, outgoing personality and a desire for career advancement.
  • Performs such other duties as the Supervisor determine necessary to support the Architecture Practice.

What will you contribute?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture and/or Interior Design or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience to include all phases of interior design, technical detailing, and assisting with the coordination of consultants.
  • The position requires expertise of BIM/Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Candidate must be in process of obtaining NCIDQ Certification and be licensed in at least one state.
  • Working knowledge of national building Codes, Life safety codes, ADA compliance
  • LEED AP is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present design ideas and collaborate with design teams and consultants.
  • Ability to initiate effort and follow through on work tasks independently.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to fast paced environment.
  • Design and implementation experience in large variety of project types both in size and complexity a plus.
