Job Title: IT Director

Compensation: $140,000-$150,000/year, plus bonus

You will be responsible for managing the technical support efforts which include responsibility for all system software, hardware, and database administration. Tasks include managing the system hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures that adhere to the company's values and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the information technology department.
  • Analyzes the needs of different departments and determine ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
  • Provides technical support relating to technology systems software and hardware. Evaluates new technical developments and recommends appropriate actions and assesses proposed systems and identifies impacts on current and planned resources.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate, select, train and develop systems and programming personnel. Manage wage, salary and individual performance within the department.
  • Coordinate planning activities with Corporate IT and establish department performance goals and measurement of progress.
  • Keep abreast of new hardware and software developments.
  • Oversee the design, development and maintenance of a comprehensive IS disaster recovery plan.
  • Manage all division computer resources including local office and remote plant locations, with a priority of customer service.
  • Design and Establish procedures and the methodology for the control, security, and integrity of data. Provides effective security of existing data and systems software to meet organizational needs. Establishes and monitors policies and procedures for the systems programming, operations, and security function.
  • Develop and manage and control the annual department budget.
  • Plans, monitors, and reports to management on data processing resources utilization and requirements including personnel, equipment and associated costs. This includes estimating resource requirements and costs for maintaining production services.
  • Communicate IT planning to all levels of management.
  • Research new opportunities for increased productivity from computer technology throughout the organization. Evaluate and apply new computer hardware and software technologies and educate users regarding the benefits of such improvement.

EDUCATION, REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in computer programming, information system design and systems analysis, which shall have involved major responsibility for the development and implementation of large-scale data processing systems.
  • Experience with SAP ERP solutions (AFS verticalization is required - SD, WM and FI modules)
  • Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions is a plus
  • Experience planning and leading IT-related projects.
  • Experience with third-party software management and interfaces (EDI, Vertex, Connectship, Loftware)
