About the Role
Marketing at Gap Inc. is undergoing a major transformation and is seeking exceptional talent for the newly formed Marketing Shared Services organization. Marketing Shared Services is a centralized team that will lead the standardization and innovation of key functions, including Media, Marketing Enablement, and Marketing Intelligence, across all four of Gap Inc.'s iconic brands. Within the Marketing Shared Services organization, the Media Shared Services group will consist of a combination of centralized and embedded resources that will drive a consistent approach to media planning and activation across the portfolio. The team will leverage strategic acumen, deep functional expertise, and scale across the organization to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the brands it serves.

The Director of Influencer is responsible for managing the activation of Influencer Marketing for Gap Inc. across its four brands. In this role, you will manage an ongoing roster of pre-approved influencer talent and lead the standardization of influencer relationship management across Gap Inc.'s brands. You will be responsible for managing Gap Inc.'s relationships with Influencer Marketing agencies and identifying opportunities to drive improved coordination of Influencer Marketing efforts across Gap Inc.'s brands. Working within the centralized Channel Activation team, you will leverage a deep understanding of influencer marketing strategies and best practices to inform planning, share learnings, and coordinate influencer efforts across Gap Inc.'s brands. As a key subject matter expert within the Gap Inc. organization, you will regularly share channel-specific insights, learnings, and best practices with Brand and Marketing Shared Services teams to help drive best-in-class Influencer Marketing strategies. A critical component of this role will be to ensure cross-brand collaboration and channel effectiveness by evaluating ongoing influencer efforts and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and deduplication of efforts.What You'll Do

  • Support Gap Inc. brands in the execution of enterprise-wide Influencer marketing aligned to each brand's strategy, leveraging deep expertise on Influencer marketing best-practices and trends to align Influencer efforts to broader business objectives
  • Establish standardized set of KPIs, measurement approaches, and tech tools to be used across Gap Inc.'s brands to maximize return on investment of Influencer spend
  • Act as the central point of coordination among brand teams and manage legal, contract, and payment governance for all of Gap Inc.'s brands
  • Lead the creation of an ongoing roster of preapproved influencer talent, including managing existing talent, continuously adding and removing talent in line with enterprise objectives, and being the media organization's internal expert on influencer relationships including rate cards and negotiation history
  • Collaborate with brand partners to actively track and socialize roster of pre-vetted talent across the portfolio
  • Consistently evaluate Influencer activity at an enterprise level to identify duplicative efforts and steadily drive increased efficiency across brands
  • Coordinate Influencer efforts across Gap's brands, identifying cross-brand synergy opportunities and managing Gap Inc.'s relationships with multiple influencer agencies
  • Partner with brands to establish high-impact, brand-safe, and brand-suitable Influencer approaches for each of Gap Inc.'s four brands, conducting ongoing research and due diligence to verify influencers' brand safety
  • Liaise with external partners to track influencer activity and maintain records of service level, performance, price/value to include in influencer roster.
  • Quickly and proactively mitigate potential issues with Influencer campaigns, including brand-safety risks, and communicate consistently with leadership to provide progress updates

Who You Are
  • 8+ years marketing experience with 5+ years experience in Social Media/Influencer Marketing
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams, with a proven track record of collaborative leadership, team building, and managing individual contributors
  • Advanced knowledge of the influencer community and influencer trends
  • Experience building and managing influencer marketing programs at large brands or agencies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of how to effectively plan, execute, and measure influencer campaigns
  • Experience in a highly complex, matrixed organization with a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive change
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across multiple teams and functions
  • Change agent and motivator, with the ability to build bottoms-up teams and approaches, and foster positive culture change at Gap
