POSITION PURPOSE
The Sales & Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing marketing strategies and campaigns that promote the resort's brand and drive customer engagement. The role involves creating content, managing digital and traditional marketing efforts, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the resort's presence in the market.

LOCATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position is on-site with occasional flexibility for hybrid days based on team coverage, as determined by the CSO and Associate Director of Sales. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3 years of luxury hospitality industry sales and catering experience with progressive managerial responsibilities. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy Development and Execution
- Develop and execute marketing plans that align with the resort's business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand awareness.
- Collaborate with the CSO and Sales team to implement targeted campaigns across different channels (e.g., social media, email, paid search, and print).
- Create and implement promotional offers, seasonal packages, and events to drive bookings and occupancy.
- Design and produce high-quality content for digital and print media, including website content, blogs, social media posts, email newsletters, and advertisements.
- Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with the resort's brand identity and messaging.
- Use Cendyn CRM to create engaging campaigns that drive revenue to need periods.
- Develop engaging and informative content to attract and retain guests, while enhancing the resort's online presence.
- Manage relationships with resort's social media team and curate the resort's social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), Monitor social media trends, analyze competitors, and create strategies to leverage trending topics for increased visibility and engagement.
- Run targeted email marketing campaigns, ensuring proper segmentation and personalization to increase customer retention and bookings.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance using marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
- Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, social media engagement, and ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Adjust marketing strategies based on performance data to optimize future campaigns.
- Work closely with the sales, reservations, and events teams to align marketing efforts with sales goals and promote resort offerings effectively.
- Coordinate with design, photography, and video teams to create compelling visual assets for marketing campaigns.
- Support public relations and influencer marketing efforts to build positive brand awareness and media coverage.
- Conduct market research to identify customer preferences, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the hospitality and tourism industry.
- Use insights from research to help refine marketing strategies and ensure the resort remains competitive in the marketplace.
- Stay informed about local events, tourism trends, and industry shifts to leverage opportunities for the resort.
- Monitor and respond to online customer reviews and feedback on platforms such as TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, and social media, maintaining a positive brand image.
- Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, encouraging repeat visits and customer referrals
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing, ideally within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Experience with Cendyn or other comparable CRM and email platforms
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, social media platforms, email marketing software).
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (for content creation), and CRM tools.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality marketing.
- Graphic Design experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices is a plus.
