Summary
C2 Strategic Communications, one of the region’s largest public relations firms, is headquartered in Louisville with offices in Lexington, KY, Indianapolis, IN, and Nashville, TN. Our 35-person firm serves a diverse range of clients and projects across the region, using effective storytelling to strengthen communities and improve quality of life.
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and manage our marketing resources, while driving our expansion into new markets and developing innovative service offerings.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical skills, and a passion for community impact. This role will involve crafting and executing effective marketing strategies, mentoring team members, and delivering measurable results for both our firm and our clients.
A strong understanding of digital marketing tools and trends, combined with an innovative and analytical mindset is essential for success in this role.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for company expansion and new service offerings
- Build brand awareness and connect our services with potential customers
- Analyze marketing data and adjust strategies and tactics as needed
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify customer needs and develop service offerings
- Identify target audiences to drive qualified leads
- Manage and mentor marketing resources
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the marketing team
- Create marketing plans for external clients that align with our mission-driven approach
- Document marketing processes and workflows with recommendations for improvements based on best practices.
- Develop regular market research reports highlighting trends, opportunities and recommendations.

Skills/attributes
Required
- Minimum 6 years of marketing experience, preferably in-house at a professional services firm. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of advanced education, certifications, and demonstrated success in delivering impactful strategies. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for 1-2 years of experience, depending on its relevance.
- Proven track record in team management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Meta and email marketing tools
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and providing actionable insights
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices
- Experience with SEO/SEM strategies and implementation
- Ability to thrive in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment
Desired Skills and Qualities
- Experience with AI and machine learning applications in marketing.
- Understanding of privacy regulations and data protection in digital marketing.
- Familiarity with WordPress

More About this Role
- A typical work week is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch
- This position will be based in the Louisville, KY office
- Reliable transportation is required
- Night and weekend hours, and the occasional travel, may be required but are minimal
- This is a full-time exempt position that reports directly to the President / Chief Business Development Officer
