Description
If you're a driven individual with attention to detail who is passionate about marketing, social media, and writing, then we want you on our team! The Marketing Specialist will assist with social media management and content creation, developing and writing our blog and newsletter, as well as website product and promotion updates and initiatives. You will craft compelling written and visual content that aligns with our campaigns and embodies Boston Interiors brand narrative. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of understanding related to marketing content development and social media marketing, and has the desire to continuously stay up-to-date on emerging marketing trends. This is a full-time, hybrid position that will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager.
o Creates romanced product descriptions for the website.
o Uploads new product images and product information to the website and maintains product status from new, to clearance to discontinued and removed.
o Plans and creates unique and engaging social media content and captions for approval on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
o Manages social media accounts, monitoring direct messages and comments, interacting with customers and designers, and reposting relevant content.
o Provides insights and reporting on organic social media strategy, metrics and campaign performance as needed.
o Completes monthly website refreshes to display the current promotional material and sale information.
o Updates the website as needed to display any Boston Interiors or vendor-specific promotions. Creates landing pages, as necessary.
o Writes the Beyond Interiors blog on a monthly basis.
o Writes the Trade Program Newsletter on a monthly basis.
o Orders and sends marketing supplies to store locations as needed.
o Prints and mails out price increase tags to stores each month.
o Proofreads and checks all copy and creative, maintaining consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms.
o Meets weekly with IT and Web Development team to communicate marketing direction needs and timing for the website.
o Attends all marketing strategy and status meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- An ideal candidate would be an individual who contributes on multiple fronts--offering both the required skill-sets and a willingness to be a part of a collaborative team.
- Social media savvy. Working knowledge and understanding the basic social media platforms.
- Has familiarity with or is ready to learn Canva and Temply to create personalized social media content.
- Has familiarity with or is ready to learn Magento for web-related tasks.
- Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. (Adobe Suite a plus.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept problem solver with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
- Possesses extreme attention to detail, especially when proofing content or ensuring all materials align with brand standards.
- Strong team player.
- Creativity with a broad and focused vocabulary for creating product descriptions with flare.
