Job Description
The Social Media Marketing Specialist will develop and implement the company's web-based marketing strategy to promote the company's brand, attract visitors and potential leads, and generate internet sales.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Plans and implements web-based marketing strategies and campaigns via the company's website(s).
· Collaborates with web development and design teams; provides guidance on marketing-related aspects of the company's web presence.
· Develops and expands company's web presence through social media, email, web advertising, and other online sources; promotes company brand through these channels.
· Drafts, implements, maintains, and revises online marketing campaigns to drive sales and revenue to the company.
· Manage day-to-day running of all social platforms (primarily, Solex website, Instagram, IG Stories, Facebook, Tik Tok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Mail Chimp Newsletter)
· Stay Up-to-date knowledge of all current social media platforms and trends.
- Capture, create and manage all published content (images, video and captions) across all social media accounts.
- Create visually stunning and compelling content that resonates with our audience.
- Respond to customer reviews and comments across all social media channels.
· Collaborate with internal teams for content creation, including dynamic video content for advertising campaigns
· Proficient in key areas of social media marketing including content creation, community management, and strategic campaigns.
- Craft and implement social media strategies that defy convention and capture attention.
- Event Documentation: Document key moments at significant events and manage the acquisition of content across all events. Stay up-to-date with social media trends and industry developments.
· Coordinates with other marketing team members to ensure active promotions and campaigns are represented on the website(s).
· Strategize and implement lead generation campaigns to further grow the business.
· Collaborates with web design, development, and content staff to monitor and improve search engine optimization (SEO) results for the company's site(s).
· Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in online marketing.
· Assists with budget preparation for marketing department.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.
· BSc degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, Communications, or a relevant field
· 3-4 of related experience preferred.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficient with HTML and web design.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven ability to plan and implement marketing campaigns.
· 3-4 years social media marketing experience for companies/brands.
· Insightful and highly creative with the ability to guide and create compelling content.
· Strong blog photography skills.
- Creative and strong presentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional departments.
- Solid understanding of social media /pop culture community trends.
- Remain on top of the social trends and platform changes.
- Some graphic design experience preferred, including Canvas (?)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
