Experience:
  • Previous experience in a marketing role is highly valued, especially within the cannabis industry.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, including social media management, content creation, and email campaigns, is essential.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Weedmaps, Dutchie eCommerce, Dutchie Backoffice, Alpine Texting Platform, Canva, Mailchimp, and CRM software will give you a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry and its marketing regulations (including advertising restrictions and compliance) will set you apart.


Knowledge:
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and how to create engaging content that resonates with cannabis consumers.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, such as Mailchimp and social media scheduling tools, is important for streamlining campaigns and outreach.
  • Knowledge of cannabis-specific regulations for advertising, including state and federal guidelines for cannabis marketing, is essential for ensuring compliance in all marketing initiatives.
  • An understanding of SEO principles and digital analytics tools is a plus for tracking campaign performance and optimizing content.

What You'll Do:
  • Campaign Support: Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels, with a focus on promoting our cannabis retail products.
  • Promo Management: Crafting engaging promo text for email blasts and special promotions to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Social Media Optimization: Monitor social media platforms, schedule posts, engage with followers, and analyze performance metrics. Tweaking and perfecting Weedmaps banners and carousels to maintain an appealing online presence and ensure optimal performance.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on cannabis trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to inform marketing decisions.
Platform-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Weedmaps Management:
    • Update bios, featured products, and menu images to ensure an accurate and visually appealing platform presence.
    • Create, upload, and manage deal banners to align with marketing campaigns.
    • Monitor menu displays and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Dutchie eCommerce:
    • Ensure menu item accuracy by updating product scoring, bios, carousels, and image banners.
    • Audit and optimize product displays to maintain consistency, ensuring accurate and seamless data flow across platforms.
  • Dutchie Backoffice:
    • Upload menu photos to the catalog.
    • Update and correct product details such as THC percentages, categories, or naming conventions.
  • Alpine Texting Platform Management:
    • Layout visually engaging text blasts, linking deal images directly to corresponding menu products.
    • Monitor the Alpine issues spreadsheet to identify and resolve customer loyalty concerns promptly.
    • Design and implement new customer surveys to gather feedback and insights.
    • Create and schedule app notifications for promotions and events, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Canva Content Creation and Management:
    • Manipulate and optimize visual assets for daily text blasts and deal banners, ensuring high-quality and engaging content following templates provided.
    • Update product menus regularly to reflect current inventory and promotions.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Quality Assurance and Optimization:
    • Conduct routine audits of online menus for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with promotional strategies.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in product descriptions, THC percentages, and categorization.
    • Test and verify menu updates to ensure seamless and accurate displays.
  • Collaboration and Feedback Integration:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to implement updates and campaigns.
    • Take assertive direction and incorporate constructive criticism to enhance workflows and deliverables.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment on platform updates and customer-facing content.
