Rail City Casino in Sparks is looking for a charismatic and bright person excited to become the Marketing Manager. We offer unique experience of working with a great team in a lively casino that local guests and employees call home.
Previous casino experience is preferred but not required - this position is all about outstanding planning skills, excellent leadership and analytical approach to decision-making. We are a data-oriented company that uses technology to drive marketing, so more than intermediate computer (especially Excel) literacy and good math skills are a must.
In addition, skills that include digital and social media advertising, videography and video editing are a big plus and could instantly upgrade salary level.

Duties:
- Planning of promotions, events and other marketing activities
- Programing multiple systems (player tracking system offer, marketing kiosk, restaurant discounts, digital signage, etc.)
- Providing superior guest service, interacting with internal and external customers in an efficient, friendly manner, promoting the Guest Services Center, promotions, and the Players Club Card.
- Managing mailing lists for promotions and events and dividing them into different level of play to tier for mailings.
- Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns (email blasts, social media posts, OTT)
- Providing direction to Food & Beverage on marketing ideas and implementation.
- Working with other departments on cross-marketing and advertising
- Managing internal printed and digital collateral
- Directing advertising and social media efforts.
- Selecting and purchasing gifts given during events
- Tracking availability of complimentaries for Players Club participants based on player activity, maintains database, updating player records periodically.
- Responsible for the input of sensitive data entry into players' accounts.
- Maintaining inventory and implements control of Guest Services Center merchandise and operational supplies.
- Resolving customer complaints/issues in a professional, friendly manner.
- Assisting in and develops, coordinates and executes promotional activities on and off property to increase guest visits and casino play.
- Assuring that a consistent offering of special events, tournaments and promotions is scheduled for our casino customers.
- Ensuring that all Casino Marketing efforts are properly coordinated with other departments.
- Attending events on and off property to develop a relationship with guests and community members.
- Monitoring guests play to insure proper complementaries are implemented.
- High school diploma required - college degree is preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming Registration
- Previous managerial/leadership experience (casino environment experience is preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other various software. Basic graphic design software familiarity is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English language.

- Outgoing, approachable personality with the ability to meet and greet both our established patrons as well as newcomers to the property.

- Must be able to move about the casino and operational areas freely, without restriction.
