JOB SUMMARY
RMS Inc. is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing team to aid with and facilitate marketing processes at all business locations.
This role provides support to the Marketing department including but not limited to developing and implementing plan, schedules, and budgets, managing customer portals, creating marketing materials, managing, and ordering and inventory of RMS branded items supervising trade show appearances as well as developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.

Office Environment on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work / enter a shop or field service environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. This role provides support to the Marketing department including but not limited to developing and implementing plan, schedules, and budgets, managing customer portals, creating marketing materials, managing, and ordering and inventory of RMS branded items supervising trade show appearances as well as developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Develop and implement event plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that events are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage customer portal accounts to ensure documentation is correct and provided in a timely manner.
- Communicate event progress, status updates and key milestones to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies to minimize event delays and ensure successful delivery.
- Supervise RMS trade show appearances working to support internal stakeholders to deliver a professional appearance that meets budget requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the event lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and remote event vendors and negotiate preferred pricing.
- Create marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters, social media posts using Adobe products.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of promotional items and RMS branded clothing.
- Support the creation of internal and external RMS branded communications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
Knowledge and/or Skill Requirements:
- Strong organizational and management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain event plans, schedules, budgets and other related materials.
- Interest in engineering and mechanical products a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues and risks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience with social media marketing and designing engaging content.
OTHER INFORMATION
- The position is based in RMS's Houston, TX facility.
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends, based on business needs (This position is a 40+ hour a week position).
- Ability to act professionally under stressful situations.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Authorized to work in the United States
