Reports to: Director, Digital & Content

Please note the position is Seasonal from December to June.

About the United Football League

The United Football League (UFL) is the premier spring football platform, formed by the merging of the XFL and USFL in 2024 under the combined ownership of RedBird Capital Partners, FOX, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson. The UFL has eight teams in Arlington (TX), Birmingham (AL), Detroit (MI), Houston (TX), San Antonio (TX), Memphis (TN), St. Louis (MO), and Washington D.C.

About the Position

The UFL is seeking a Social Media Producer to support league and team initiatives. The social media producer will create and post content, generate analytics and reporting, support corporate partner initiatives, and cover events.This person will represent the league and teams, while being the voice of the brand across all channels, as well as devise, coordinate and execute multi-platform strategies for internal and external campaigns.

What you will do
  • Manage the league and team's day-to-day social media content and activities.
  • Provide real-time platform coverage during live games and events
  • Create short form video content (ex: Reels, TikToks, Stories) for distribution.
  • Directly engage with other UFL team accounts, players, media members, influencers, partners and more via social media platforms, fostering engagement and conversation.
  • Work with the League to develop effective social campaigns for internal and third-party initiatives, including sponsored executions.
  • Support and proactively ideate for new emerging features on existing platforms.
  • Monitor activity and social chatter for potential news leads for the editorial team.
  • Keep current with UFL news, teams, rosters, fan bases, brands and products.
  • Stay up to date on daily, weekly, and monthly social media needs of sponsorship, community relations, and youth programs activations
  • Closely monitor players' social media accounts; when possible, work with the players to create unique, engaging content
  • Remain informed and familiar with social/digital content trends.
  • Collaborate with the social team to coordinate content plans and establish a style guide/tone.


What you will bring
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital/social media editing and channel management.
  • Strong problem solving and project management capabilities.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends during UFL games and live TV programming.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of existing and emerging social platforms, and the ability to use and gain insights from analytics tools to constantly measure and elevate the league and teams' social and overall digital efforts.
  • Knowledge of what works on social media
  • Proficiency editing in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Impeccable grammar and diction required.
  • Passion for emerging media trends and technology, including social platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of football (formations, X's and O's, terminology, history, etc.)
  • Passion for pop culture.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Additional Details
  • The location of this role is in Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area
  • This is a seasonal position from December through June
  • Primarily works in a remote office and/or an office environment but may include attending select games and events in UFL team markets.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Will be required to travel to all games.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
