WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
DIGITAL EXPERT
- Possess broad-reaching knowledge across all things digital, and know how all elements within digital ecosystem work together
- Knowledge of digital marketplace, including programmatic, video, paid search and social, across all platforms
- Familiar with supervising execution (specs, QA, tagging, trafficking), analytics (data, reporting, optimization) and stewardship (actualization, billing)
- Help usher established traditional media planning and buying process into the digital age
- Educate the traditional teams and other internal stakeholders on the state of the digital industry
- Meet with media sales reps and industry representatives on a regular basis to pursue ideas that are strategically aligned with the client's business
- Be a source of confidence with key clients so that they understand and acknowledge that you are the expert in the field of Digital Marketing
- Provide point-of-view on various new media and technologies in the marketplace
- Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve media problems
- Possess thorough knowledge of marketing and advertising principles; understanding of media concepts and terminology
- Familiar with media buying and planning process within creative agency environment
- Develop planning objectives and detailed activation strategies across digital channels that coincide with the client's marketing direction
- Collaborate with Planning team to develop data-informed, consumer centric media activation strategies and recommendations
- Lead the planning, execution, and holistic optimization of digital media campaigns across various channels, including social media, display, search, and video.
- Oversee digital media budgeting and investment planning to maximize campaign goals and meet performance expectations
- Analyze media spend and performance metrics to optimize investment strategies and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead team in developing digital media plans, final recommendations, opportunities and campaign performance reports directly to clients
- Aggressively keep abreast of the current media landscape
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends (trade press, seminars, current events, etc.) that may impact a client's business
- Strong Experience in negotiating media contracts and managing vendor relationships
- Excellent analytical thinking with proficiency in media analytics and reporting tools.
- Ensure digital "story" is being conveyed at a wholistic level, across digital channels and efforts
- Provide strategic direction digital team while maintaining some day-to-day planning responsibilities
- Serve as a mentor and provide conduits for professional growth among the team
- Ultimate responsibility for the work generated by the team
- Ability to train, motivate and foster a strong, cohesive working team
- Ability to effectively handle personnel issues
- Establish and maintain professional client relationships; manage the flow of client media needs
- Provide strategic thinking and oversight of work
- Ability to articulate objectives, opportunities, digital plans/performance and techniques
- Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate and interact with clients and negotiate on their behalf
- Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources
- Develop credentials and best practices
- Maintain a relationship with various other business units and introduce on client's business accordingly
- Serve as agency ambassador and industry thought leader via participation in social media, industry conferences, events and press opportunities
- Up-sell other GSD&M digital and traditional services, as well as work with other Omnicom companies to bring appropriate services to client
- Champion digital media across all disciplines and departments
- Collaborate with Media Directors, Account Directors, Directors of Strategy and Group Directors of Investment to foster convergence
- Work to improve the operations and process involved in Digital Services
- Compelling and confident presentation skills
- Ability to condense complex ideas into comprehensible pieces, and high accuracy in analyzing large sets of data
- Proven ability to think critically, analyze performance and opportunities, and look for unconventional solutions
- Proactive and confident in finding ways to bring to life new technologies to educate clients and the agency
- Extensive understanding of the digital advertising industry's infrastructure systems
- Experience planning and implementing interactive media campaigns including:
- Programmatic (CPM and other), search engine marketing, across desktop, mobile and tablet
- Custom programs, gaming and social media
- Preferred 7+ years of experience in digital marketing including programmatic, video, paid search and social, across all platforms
- Thorough knowledge of media activation platforms: DSPs include The Trade Desk, DV360
- Plus if experience with AdTheorent, AdForm ad server, Marin Software and/or Claravin Taxonomy.
- Preferred, but not mandatory: Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations
- Experience negotiating digital ad standards (viewability standards, audience verification and fraud protection)
- Complete comfort level and knowledge of standard industry terms and conditions
- Work with third party technology vendors
- Understanding of digital media attribution and effects on media performance
- Direct hands on campaign management experience within programmatic DSPs
