Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This Job
The AVP, Social Media is a creative, enthusiastic, and sharp-minded digital storyteller who will help drive the development, execution, and optimization of a vibrant social media presence across our social media channels. Reporting to the VP, Communications, this role will collaborate with colleagues across our businesses and subject matter experts to plan and execute content and campaigns designed to modernize brand perception and drive channel growth and engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trends and best practices across all social media platforms, experience developing compelling social media content and familiarity with social media publishing tools. This individual will also have experience working closely with graphic designers, videographers and external agencies as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic input, create content, and execute campaigns across Axos Bank's branded social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube
- Curate high quality social media content in a variety of engaging formats based on audience, channel, and best practices (e.g., videos, long-form posts, animated gifs, carousels, etc.)
- Develop and manage project scopes and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adhering to the editorial calendar milestones while remaining agile and responsive to breaking news developments
- Evaluate our presence on key Consumer (B2C) and Commercial (B2B) channels, drive followership and increase engagement
- Identify and advocate for social media best practices; stay current on new technologies, industry best practices and trends, and drive the adoption of innovative strategies and solutions
- Ensure spotless adherence to internal and external approval processes, compliance, audit and regulatory processes, and documentation
- Demonstrate consistency in brand voice and visual style across all social channels, while recognizing each channel's unique audience and approach
- Utilize social media publishing tools to coordinate the calendar and schedule content
- Oversee influencer, refer-a-friend, and other similar social media ambassador programs
- Lead internal pitch meetings to optimize timely news and culture content and provide guidance and training to executives and other employees interested in leveraging social media for business purposes
- Own and manage all social-related performance metrics, regularly report insights, and adjust plans to optimize campaign efforts with a focus on continuous improvement
- Develop channel strategies across B2B social platforms and accounts in collaboration with marketing strategy team and key BU stakeholders
Requirements:
- 3+ years' of social media marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
- Detail-oriented creative problem solver with a passion for branding, advertising, and growth
- Favors action and thrives in working in fast-paced environments
- Collaborative and team-oriented, showing flexibility as social plans and goals evolve
- Proven in-depth knowledge and mastery of social media best practices and proactive in evaluating new trends and techniques
- Comfortable in a growth-focused, performance-based environment
- Ability to manage a content calendar with daily postings across several platforms while successfully meeting deadlines and goals
- Strong mix of creative, analytic and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into compelling digital storytelling
- Experience using social media publishing and content management platforms
- Excellent writer and storyteller skilled at tailoring content to specific audiences and channels
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze, critique and offer recommendations for content improvement
- Proficient in digital technologies and tools that monitor and analyze social media platforms to meet respective campaign goals
- Understanding of B2B marketing cycles, technical acumen, and account-based marketing solutions
- Extensive knowledge of paid social, specifically on LinkedIn
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industry a plus
