The Global Production Studio (GPS) at Amazon Entertainment is an operationally-driven team of designers, producers, QA specialists and operations managers responsible for creating and delivering high volumes of digital assets. Additionally, this candidate should have a keen eye for detail, and an excellent ability to communicate. An online portfolio is required as well as to pass an assessment. Our QA team works on behalf of millions of Amazon customers, ensuring that marketing placements meet our high-quality standards. As a QA Technician you would enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can obsess over customers by delivering quality releases daily. In addition to experience with manual testing, we’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional who excels at finding bugs and working on a wide range of technologies in the creative space with a wide array of ever-changing requirements.
The Role
The successful Quality Assurance Technician will be obsessed with customer experience, continual improvement, a high design bar and an active desire to challenge the status quo.
In this role, you will:
- Write and maintain test cases.
- Find patterns in defects and drive quality upstream by specific and timely reporting.
- Assist designers, traffickers or other testers to reproduce errant behavior and accurately report defects found.
- Execute and verify results of existing tests.
- Ensure proper inputs of data to help drive operational excellence.
- Coach others on Usability and Functionality requirements and subsequent updates.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of professional experience in executing test cases across different platforms (mobile, tablet and desktop).
- English, written and spoken.
- Demonstrated working knowledge with various QA methodologies and tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in delivering a world-class customer experience (ideally in the digital advertising industry).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Advertising, Front-end Engineering (computer science) or equivalent proven experience.
- Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
- High organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and be able to synthesize the results.
- Meticulous attention to detail; ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering the quality bar.
- Experience in QA automation processes and tools (desirable).
- Experience in Digital Publishing (Static Assets, Motion Graphics and A/V assets).
