Position Summary
The Music Instructor will work with Corps Officer to schedule days of the week to teach and engage with children and adults.

Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.Ability to be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead.Ability to operate computer, printer, and telephone.

Position Summary
The Music Instructor will work with Corps Officer to schedule days of the week to teach and engage with children and adults.
Essential Functions
- Provide music lessons for all ages (children and adults).
- Teach music theory.
- Instruct students on how to use their instruments.
- Assign homework and/or practice for students to take home.
Specific Duties:
- To provide a well-rounded and comprehensive music education.
- Teach ear training.
- Teach correct instrument technique.
- Teach reading music proficiently.
- Instructing and encouraging students to play in ensembles.
- Preparing students for Sunday morning worship.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Preferred AA or BA Degree in Music or 5 or more years of experience teaching music
- Criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
