Responsibilities:
The Personnel Recovery (PR) Senior Training Specialist is the subject matter expert (SME) relating to all phases of PR training. Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, implementing, and overseeing a training program focused on personnel recovery operations.
  2. Developing and implementing training materials for USAID’s PR program, including COI documents, training aids, and train-the-trainer procedures, to support PR, security, and communications training.
  3. Creating effective training strategies and syllabi for diverse audiences.
  4. Delivering PR training in alignment with USAID Activity Manager and the PR Program Coordinator's guidance.
  5. Overseeing the preparation and certification of Security and PR Training Specialists.
  6. Maintaining training records and tracking personnel training progress.
  7. Organizing continuous learning sessions to enhance trainer capabilities.
  8. Briefing senior management on training status.
  9. Conducting USAID Mission assessments to identify training needs.
  10. Producing reports to support PR and security training efforts.

Qualifications:
You might be the person we’re looking for if you have:

  1. Minimum five years of experience in PR training.
  2. Experience in COI analysis and improvement, including the continuous research and development of new and emerging Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) applicable to PR and security training programs.
  3. Extensive experience in developing curricula and training products and materials.
  4. Completed the Department of Defense course PR 260, Joint Resistance Training Instructor Course or have equivalent professional experience.
  5. Ability and skills in developing training aids, preparing course materials, and conducting practical application assessments.
  6. Experience in measuring enabling learning objectives through testing and critiques.
  7. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  8. Valid U.S Passport and state driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:

  1. Physically stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and climb ladders with dexterity in both hands.
  2. Lift a 50-pound item to waist height and a 30-pound item over the head.
  3. Walk distances up to three miles in a variety of adverse environments while carrying a 30-pound backpack.
  4. Hear normal conversation, alarms, and warning signals with corrective devices if necessary.
