Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in agency or corporate settings. They excel at developing public relations plans, know how best to help clients meet their goals and objectives, understand when and how to create and curate news for client campaigns and projects, and can do all of this on time and on budget.

We are looking for a progressive public relations professional based in the Greater Reno/Tahoe area who can:
- Develop public relations plans based on PRSA’s RPIE model in conjunction with department leadership
- Write AP-Style news and creative content based on strategy and data
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving for clients
- Get excited about pitching statewide, regional and national media (and love getting clients top-tier media placements)
- Develop and deliver quality, newsworthy content to media partners
- Proactively seek valuable opportunities for our clients in the media
- Manage editorial and content calendars
- Stay up-to-date with news trends and topics, quickly helping to determine any action that should be taken for individual clients
- Conduct research to best pitch client stories and leverage market opportunities for clients
- Excels at public speaking, including client and internal team presentations
- Prepare, participate and/or lead client meetings and collaborations
- Lead communications during a crisis or an issue
- Produce media events and assist with partnership collaborations
- Measure, measure, measure – Are we meeting KPIs? How do we know?
- Learn and use software like Muck Rack and Looker Studio
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be skilled at multitasking
- Love working as part of an integrated PR/marketing team who provides excellent results to clients
- Manage your work with autonomy
