Voice of San Diego is seeking a reporter to investigate and cover San Diego City Hall, focusing on the Mayor, City Council, city departments and other leadership. This reporter will examine and explain pressing policy, governance and regional issues, while also highlighting the stories and profiling the people shaping the future of communities in San Diego. The impacts of decisions made by political leaders are often difficult to track, and Voice of San Diego has made it our mission to translate and explain them. This reporter will accomplish this by gathering and analyzing facts through interviews, investigations and observations.
Salary and Benefits:
The minimum salary is $70,000 and the maximum is $85,000. This is a non-exempt position (paid hourly) and is eligible for overtime. Salary is based on experience of the candidates.
Compensation includes health (medical, dental, vision), life, and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) savings plan and company match. It also includes 12 paid holidays and three weeks of paid vacation. We provide five paid sick days annually.
