The ideal candidate for Rushdown is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a UI Engineer with a primary responsibility of building out new UI elements for a game written in C++. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and have outstanding communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Get up to speed quickly with an existing large project.
- Build in-game UI using both C++, Scaleform and ActionScript.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform wireframes and interfaces into functional in-game elements.
- Support in-game features that integrate with online SDKs with an eye on performance and usability.
- Optimize and profile UI performance to ensure a smooth player experience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interest in gaming.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience building UI with Scaleform.
- Strong understanding of UI design principles and usability.
- Experience developing user interfaces for PC and console games.
- Solid experience in performance profiling and optimization for UI in games.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Strong communicator - proactive about unblocking yourself, asking questions, and navigating obstacles with a team.
- PLUS: Experience modding games.
