We are working with an Oilfield client that is looking to add a Senior UX Designer to their team.
Rate: $65.00/hour
Work Location: Onsite – Houston, TX 77032
Shift Details: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 1 year with a high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive user research to identify personas, understand user behaviors, and gather insights to inform design decisions.
- Develop and maintain information architecture frameworks that facilitate intuitive navigation and content discovery.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes for new product ideas and features, ensuring they are user-centered and align with business goals.
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, analyze feedback, and iterate designs to enhance user experience.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and align with project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field or equivalent.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite, and familiarity with HTML/CSS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or with industrial applications.
- Knowledge of front-end development and database-driven functionality to foster a strong partnership with developers.
