As a UX Researcher, you will serve as a key strategic partner to product and design teams, helping to drive user-centered design and decision-making across the organization. You will leverage advanced research methodologies to deeply understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations to improve the user experience. You will mentor more junior researchers, advocate for customer voices, and help shape the strategic direction of the product we are building. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the following: Design and execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research studies (e.g. user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiries, surveys, etc.) to uncover user insights Analyze research data to uncover high-impact insights, identify trends and patterns, and synthesize findings into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations Partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to align on research goals, inform key decisions, and ensure a customer-centric approach Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging research methods, and bring innovative approaches to the organization Communicate research findings and implications to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way, tailoring the message to the audience Stay informed on industry trends and emerging research methods, and implement innovative approaches as appropriate Contribute to the strategic planning of the UX research roadmap and help evolve research practices to meet changing business and user needs Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience conducting user research in a product-focused environment Expertise in a range of user research methodologies and the ability to select the right methods for the research objectives Demonstrated track record of translating research insights into impactful product and design decisions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover meaningful insights from complex data Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and compellingly Passion for staying up-to-date on the latest UX research trends and best practices Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field Experience with a variety of user research tools (e.g. remote testing platforms, diary studies, analytics tools, survey tools, etc.) Strong written and storytelling skills to effectively communicate research findings A portfolio that demonstrates past work experience and deliverables (e.g., how your research informed decision-making, ideally in the digital products and services industry) Passion for understanding the latest learnings and innovations in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design and applying these to your work Background in B2B research Research in Non-US markets Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
