Tesla is looking for an outstanding User Experience Designer to research and create the future of employee experiences. You will be responsible for researching, designing, innovating, and prototyping new employee experiences that pave the way for the future of energy, vehicles and employees in a way that has never been done before. Our experiences are transforming the way consumers, businesses, and municipalities transition to EVs and sustainable energy.
UX Design team focuses on the experience for global sales, ordering, delivery, checkout, employee experiences, finance, analytics and factory tools. The candidate will be responsible for internal enterprise tools that support our employee experiences. Deliverables include design mockups, experience flows, prototyping, design presentations, high-fidelity visuals, and follow up to ensure high-quality implementation.
As a member of the UX Design organization, you will be at the forefront of transforming the digital landscape for Tesla's energy and vehicles across the globe. You will play a pivotal role in designing and innovating the end-to-end web user experiences that set new standards in the industry. You will collaborate with product managers, content managers, engineers and global partners as a key contributor and originator. You will conceptualize, design, and implement best-in-class employee software that enhance Tesla’s employee experiences. What You’ll Do
- Research and define UX strategy, contribute to the overall product and design direction from concept to implementation
- Develop creative and innovative design solutions for employee experiences that help guide various types of our employees from different backgrounds and with different requirements
- Constantly measure how designs are performing for target customers; iterate and improve those experiences as needed
- Work in a highly collaborative environment with engineers and other partners; invest in building relationships and trust with stakeholders and leaders
- Present work to partners, stakeholders and senior leaders regularly
- Define and share Tesla UX design standards and guidelines. Advocate for consistency across team members and partners
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in the study of design, portfolio that shows equivalent project experience
- 5+ years of experience designing interactive applications for web
- An excellent portfolio showcasing user experience, visual design and UI work with a strong design sensibility and excellent, user centric storytelling
- Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills, ability to think through complex interaction design
- Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress iterative design process under minimal supervision

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
