Role Description:
Designs experiences for acquisition, care or product across all platforms using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Designs, prototypes and develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements to both communicate and move a user efficiently and effortlessly through tasks and experiences. Analyzes strategy and contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization’s digital offerings.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Designs experiences for acquisition, care or product across all platforms using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
- Designs, prototypes, and develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements to both communicate and move a user efficiently and effortlessly through tasks and experiences.
- Analyzes strategy and contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization’s digital offerings.
- Has proven, overall design knowledge, as well as expertise in UX design.
- Independently manages multiple projects, as well as a team of employees.
- Responsible for advising and decision-making on AT&T processes, roles and resources related to design.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in user experience design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale digital projects, including web and mobile applications.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
- Innovative Mindset: A passion for innovation and staying up to date with the latest UX trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in e-commerce, fintech, health tech is a plus.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX projects and demonstrating your process, methodology, and impact on business outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to approach problems creatively and strategically.
- Customer Insights: Experience with A/B testing, analytics tools, and other methods for gathering user insights.
- User-Centered Design: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, including user research, usability testing, persona development, and journey mapping.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe and InVision.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on time.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop and implement UX strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable outcomes.
- Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX designers, researchers, and developers. (3-5 years in a managerial role is required)
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field.

Our Associate Director-User Experience earns between $174,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
