We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, and adaptable product design lead (people leader) who is passionate about understanding user needs to join the Experience Design (XD) team. The XD Team crafts effortless mobile, web and desktop experiences that are grounded in empathy and informed by insights and thoughtful planning. We are a multi-disciplinary group of professionals with expertise in Design, Content Strategy, and Research. We collaborate across the enterprise to build exceptional digital experiences for millions of clients. Our clients are passionate about the tools and experiences we provide, and we create experiences that inspire trust, simplify the complex, demystify investing, and empower our clients to truly own their tomorrow.
In this role, the design lead will:
Experience Design
Co-create solutions together with a cross-functional Agile team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together
Tackle system-level questions with opportunities in design, architecture or standards
Introduce ideation methods, user research, and techniques to planning and discovery processes
Lead cross-functional teams in using data to define the right problem to solve
Work with partners to build and define metrics that show experience impact
Lead reviews and drive decision-making with the understanding
Resolve internal roadblocks within XD team and resolve broader roadblocks collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Team leadership
Lead and mentor across XD disciplines in solving problems to create seamless experiences across product areas
Work with teams to estimate project completion based on task completion estimates resource availability
Define XD roadmaps across product areas
Act as a role model and share feedback on use of collaborative techniques
Product design and execution
Bring products to life through collaboration across the enterprise, designing solutions that delight and satisfy our clients and meet business needs
Influence and lead product design efforts from early discovery to final delivery, with an emphasis on selecting the best approach and XD methods to define potential solutions
Define visual design approach for products, including how aspects like layout, color, spacing and typography impact how the user will interact with the system and how the system should respond
Work within and contribute to a design system with full understanding of the overarching structure and implementation methods for patterns and components
Understand that the tiniest detail can make all the difference in designing a great product, with focused attention on meeting product requirements, providing consistent and error-free experiences aligned to brand identity, and ensuring every aspect of the design is accessible and inclusive
Talent management
Manage across XD disciplines, with a dual focus on furthering the XD team and growing individual team members
Manage XD teams within a program/portfolio managing relationships and resource capacity
Set clear expectations for individuals, provide feedback, and address performance issues
Develop and support individual growth plans to capitalize on employee talents

What you have
Required Qualifications
11+ years of digital product design experience
5+ years of people leadership experience
Documented experience designing highly complex B2B products
An online portfolio showing process and outcomes
Expert in all facets of XD, including practice, process, tools, and techniques
Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an Agile development methodology
Experience planning and conducting user research, inclusive of diverse research methodologies
Strong self-management skills, comfortable with substantial responsibility, ability to work directly with product and engineering partners, and capable of managing project schedules
Proficient in Figma
Preferred Qualifications
Effective relationship builder—ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types
Comfortable in a project-driven work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
