We are seeking an advanced-level Business Analyst with hands-on experience in the Genetec Video Management Software (VMS) to support our multi-million-dollar Technical Security initiatives. This individual will be responsible for analyzing complex SQL datasets, managing large-scale Excel spreadsheets, creating insightful reports, and crafting compelling presentations for executive leaders. A strong technical background with the ability to work on both front and back-end processes in Genetec, along with excellent skills in PowerPoint, SQL, and Excel, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Tracking & Data Management:
oTrack and manage multiple projects using Excel spreadsheets.
oClassify, merge, and synthesize large datasets in Excel.
oEnsure accurate data reporting in the Genetec Video Management System.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
oAnalyze complex SQL datasets and report on key findings.
oCreate and configure user-friendly dashboards for performance tracking.
oPerform in-depth reporting using both Genetec VMS data and Excel exports.
PowerPoint Presentation Development:
oDevelop clear, concise, and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership.
oPresent complex data analysis in an easy-to-understand format for non-technical audiences.
oUse advanced PowerPoint techniques to create polished and impactful presentations.
Stakeholder Communication:
oProvide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and effective reporting of technical security metrics.
Software Knowledge & Training:
oQuickly learn to navigate the Genetec Video Management Software, understand its functionalities, and extract key reporting data from both front and back-end systems.
Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:
• Extensive hands-on experience with Genetec Video Management Software, particularly with both front-end and back-end reporting capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis and report generation.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation techniques.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills, with experience creating polished, executive-level presentations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to synthesize complex data from various sources and provide actionable insights.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst role, with a strong focus on technical security initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, perform in-depth analysis, and create executive-level presentations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex data in an understandable format for different stakeholders.
