Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and multi-talented Social Media Content Manager / Video Assistant to join our creative team. This hybrid role combines hands-on video production support with social media management. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable behind the camera and behind the scenes—helping to shoot and organize video content, as well as editing, optimizing, and distributing that content across multiple social platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Video Production & Assistance:
• Assist with video shoots, including camera operation, lighting setup, and on-set organization.
• Manage file organization, transfers, and backups to ensure smooth post-production workflows.
• Support post-production efforts by creating video cut-downs, reformatting, and optimizing master files for social channels.
• Maintain video archives and manage digital assets for easy access and retrieval.
Social Media Management:
• Oversee the distribution of video content across multiple social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Adapt video content to fit platform-specific requirements (aspect ratios, durations, captions, etc.).
• Write compelling descriptions, titles, and hashtags tailored to each platform to maximize reach and engagement.
• Monitor social performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for content optimization.
• Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and algorithm changes.
Content Creation & Design:
• Create eye-catching graphics, thumbnails, and simple motion graphics to enhance video content.
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas and campaigns.
• Maintain consistency in branding and messaging across all social media platforms.
Website Maintenance:
• Perform basic website updates and maintenance using WordPress, including uploading new content, images, and videos.
• Ensure website content remains current, visually engaging, and optimized for user experience.
• Troubleshoot minor website issues and implement updates as needed.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in social media management, video production, or a similar hybrid role.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their video content requirements.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop for video editing and graphic design.
• Experience with camera operation and video production equipment.
• Familiarity with file management, organization, and backup systems.
• Knowledge of WordPress and basic website maintenance tasks.
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Motion graphics/animation experience (After Effects or similar software).
• Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Buffer).
• Photography skills for social media content.
• Knowledge of SEO and social media advertising.
